Today's Tarot - The Magician
In honor of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 (one of the best book series ever, for readers of almost any age) opening at midnight and as a nod to the magician's convention in Pittsburgh this weekend....
The Magician...
A magician's real power is in seeing potential, setting intention, and finding the wonderful, even in the most mundane things.

Daily Meditation - The Magician
The magician is associated with transformation. While it takes time, action, intention, wisdom and more to conjure deep transformation in our lives, a shift in perception makes for easy magic. A change in how we look at the people around us and a change in how we understand the situations we are in can also change how we act toward those people and those situations. Different actions, different choices means different outcomes. A change in perception can literally change our future. A shift in perception can transform everything.

The Magician - daily meditation
The Magician major arcana card is associated with transformation.
Popular knowledge tells us the old alchemists, part scientist part sorcerer, developed the foundation of our modern chemistry. The notion of transformation (even in a fictional, magical, fantastical context) has a cousin in science. It reminds me of the principle of conservation of energy. Thinking in terms of sub-atomic particles, string theory, Bohm's implicate order (or at least my watered down popularized version understanding of them)...everything is energy. Nothing is gained or lost - only transformed in a very literal sense. Here again we see a physical / philosophical parallel. Energy is literally transformed, but preserved. If energy and matter can be transformed, why not personalities and lifestyles?
I've been reading Richard Bach again, one of my all time favorite authors.
One of his best known quotes is "I gave my life to become the person I am now. Was it worth it?"
That is transformation complete...sort of Magician meets 10 of cups. What about the future? What about here forward?
Ask yourself Mr. Bach's question...can you answer with a loud, sincere "YES!"? What if you can't? Then what?
If you are not happy with the way things are now, ask yourself this...who DO you want to be? What are you willing to give to become that person? What if the price of being happy with who you are was time? What if the price was an apology...or changing a habit? Or changing a lot of habits?
Mr. Bach also wrote "You are never given a wish without being given the power to make it true. You may have to work for it, however"
Magic and transformation does exist. It just takes more time and practical effort than the fictional magic in books and movies.

power to the pen - adding power to your intentions
Keep a journal, write your ideas...all of these things will help add power to your intentions...to empower you and your goals.
This resonates with both the Magician card, which speaks of manifestation AND the Tower card, which speaks of gaining clarity, rising above chaos.
Wishing you clarity and manifestation for all the highest and best.
