You can't release old hurts that you don't know you have. "To release something you must first pick it up" I believe is the way Wayne Dyer puts it.
If something from the past haunts you, denying it doesn't make it go away. It only pushes the skeleton farther into the closet. Looking it in the eye, and tossing it a biscuit might just be enough to make it go away.
Better still, crack open a couple of cold ones and have a conversation. What looks like a ghost from the past might be a mentor in disguise.
