Love Advice from the Strength card

What do you think of when you see the "Strength" card from the major arcana?

Do you think of courage, endurance, physical well-being?

What about a conversation? What about keeping your cool when your emotions are not?

Having an open, honest heart-to-heart conversation with someone we love can be one of the scariest things a human can do. Especially if you are a young human in your first big love.

Many times, I get questions wanting to know what a boyfriend or girlfriend is going to do in a relationship, or "where the relationship is going". Tarot can't read minds or predict the future. All it can do is give you ideas about how to do your best for a relationship, accept what the other person honestly feels, or cope with what actually happens.

One card that comes to mind is the Strength card from the major arcana.

You might expect the Lovers card to be the most important one in a love-relationship, but that isn't necessarily so.

When emotions run high, and we have so much of our heart at stake, communicating is one of the scariest things we can do. It takes more strength and courage to have a heartfelt conversation for some than to face down a charging pack of elephants.

Yet, it is one of the most important, brave, caring, loving things you can do. Want to know if that special someone loves you? Ask them. Want to go find your soulmate...and this relationship just isn't it? Honestly and kindly tell them, then honestly and kindly go do what is the right thing for you too. Honesty, integrity, authenticity...essential but difficult things that are crucial for romance to bloom into true love. If you care about someone, talk to them. If you love them, and they love you....you'll both survive and the relationship will be all the better for it. It takes Strength to do, but is well worth it in the end, don't you think?

Wishing you the strength and courage to love, and love abundant in return.
