9 of Swords: Thinking of the past is a double edged sword. Take care not to cut apart the past, present and future.
Time is a connected...dwelling on the past alone without connecting it to the future is unhealthy, unwise, and heartbreaking.
Memories comfort the here and now. Lessons from the past that are applied now can make the future better. Cut off the past too much and we lose those benefits. Keep your thoughts too much in the past, and you lose the new, good things today has to offer.

Past, Present, Future
The past deals the cards we hold today. The future depends on how we play those cards we are dealt. Right now is the time and place where we choose. Right here, right now is where we create the future. That is the gift of NOW. Right here, right now is where life is lived in fullness. I love now, and within now lies forever.
